“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” is a line from the Kelly Clarkson song “Stronger.” While it’s a catchy song and the phrase is true, becoming stronger doesn’t happen naturally. The pain, trials, and challenges of life do not automatically make us stronger. We need to reframe them in order to see the difficulties of life as fertilizer to help us grow.
