TOGETHER - "Divided" Jason Esposito//Lead Pastor 6-18-17 Better Together! I know, it’s a common phrase that gets tossed around easily, but it’s true to the very core of our being. We are created to do this thing called life TOGETHER. This summer at CrossWay Church, we will walk through an amazing letter that Paul wrote to a church community that was struggling with life in a broken environment. It is a challenge for the community of faith to live out 1 Corinthians as new creatures in a world often in conflict with the purposes of God.
POWER - “Water” Jason Esposito//Lead Pastor 6-11-17 POWER Everything needs a power source to function. As we step into spring, we will journey through a letter written to the people of ancient Colossae. This letter reveals the primary Source of Power we all need to reach the zenith of our potential.

TENACITY - “Fish” Jason Montano // Associate Pastor 4-23-2017 Tenacity: The quality of being tenacious, or of holding fast; persistence. There has never been anyone more tenacious than Jesus Christ in the final days before his crucifixion. Friends and family abandoned him. Followers misunderstood and betrayed him. The political powers and religious authorities tried to eliminate him. And yet, in the face of unfathomable opposition, Jesus—in obedience to his Heavenly Father—took the hit for every single one of us on the cross, eventually conquering the grave. Understanding Jesus’ tenacity in his last days will transform our perspective and empower us to face whatever trials we experience in this life, ultimately preparing us for our final challenge: facing death itself.

In 2 Peter 3:9 we find, “God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.” (The Message) Is that your view of God? Do you see a God who desires everyone to be in relationship with him?  Join us in January as we discover the heart of God to see people rescued and discover our role in God’s amazing plan for More.

JESUS IS BETTER “Axiom“ Jason Esposito 12-18-16 Football, the fall, and a Thanksgiving feast. It doesn’t get better than that. Or does it? The first winter snow, Christmas decorations, and presents under a tree. Now that is the best. Really? A winter vacation in the mountains of Colorado or on the beaches of Mexico, now that is the best! In the New Testament book of Hebrews, the author has one clear theme: Jesus is Better! Jesus is Better than all the Old Testament prophets and the Mosaic Law. From Abraham to King David to Samson, Jesus is Better. As we step into the holiday season, many things will be competing for our focus with the claim that, “It doesn’t get any better than….” Don’t believe it. Today, tomorrow, and forever, Jesus is Better.

GOD & GOVERNMENT - “Christian Dissidence” Jason Esposito 11-6–16 “What does our theology (beliefs about God) have to do with our politics? Should personal beliefs be separate from governmental affairs? What does a person do when their beliefs contradict governmental authority? Does God even care who the leader of a nation is? How much hope should a person have in the role of government? Should a committed follower of Christ be involved in the affairs of government? Join us at Crossway Church, for a biblical look at God and Government, in a politically charged season.”  For more information visit us online at crosswayc.org

HEART OF A CHAMPION - “Becoming A Champion” Jason Esposito 9-4-2016 Every four years the very best global summer athletes gather together to win the ultimate prize, an Olympic gold medal. This summer the Olympics are being held in Rio and we will witness individuals like Phelps, Douglas, Morgan and Meritt go for gold. Olympic athletes are not only talented and full of grit but they have a heart of a champion. The first century church emerged during the early Olympic years and the authors witnessed the greatest athletes of their time training for the ultimate prize. These biblical authors used athletic analogies to help us understand the journey of Christianity. Over the remainder of the summer we will look at four crucial “sports” equivalences in the Bible that are foundational to obtaining a spiritual heart of a champion.
