Tenacity: The quality of being tenacious, or of holding fast; persistence.
There has never been anyone more tenacious than Jesus Christ in the final days before his crucifixion. Friends and family abandoned him. Followers misunderstood and betrayed him. The political powers and religious authorities tried to eliminate him. And yet, in the face of unfathomable opposition, Jesus—in obedience to his Heavenly Father—took the hit for every single one of us on the cross, eventually conquering the grave. Understanding Jesus’ tenacity in his last days will transform our perspective and empower us to face whatever trials we experience in this life, ultimately preparing us for our final challenge: facing death itself.
